Magnetic ordering in GaAlAs:Mn heterostructures: Monte Carlo simulation

The magnetic order resulting from a confinement-adapted Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida indirect exchange between magnetic moments in the metallic phase of AlAs/Ga 1− x Mn x As structures is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. Summary:The magnetic order resulting from a confinement-adapted Ruderman–Kittel–Kasuya–Yosida indirect exchange between magnetic moments in the metallic phase of AlAs/Ga 1− x Mn x As structures is studied by Monte Carlo simulation. This coupling mechanism leads to a paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, or canted spin phase, depending on the carrier concentration, and on the magnetic layer width.
