Summary:It is known that surface of a Ni-PTFE(polytetrafluoroethylene) alloy composite film shows high water repellency. The investigation aimed at using a Ni-P alloy which has excellent corrosion resistance, lubricating properties, chemical resistance and wear resistance as a matrix of the alloy composite film. A Ni-P-PTFE alloy composite film with water repellency could be formed by co-precipitating PTFE particles homogeneously using high speed electrolyte circulating cells and a Brenner bath.
