C-F bond formation with fluoride anions - highly selective iodofluorination of simple allenes

A highly regioselective (up to 99 : 1) iodofluorination reaction of simple allenes occurs under mild conditions with Et3N center dot 3HF or Py center dot 9HF to afford 2-iodoalken-3-yl fluorides.
