Luminance improvement of blue-green emitting SrS:Ce EL cell by controlling vacuum conditions with sulfur addition
S is evaporated to increase S vapor pressure. This reduces depletion of S from the 0.5 mu m SrS film and increases phosphor crystallinity, producing an order of magnitude higher blue luminance. Optimum S vapor pressure is found for blue luminance, but higher drive voltages are required.
