Summary: | We have synthesized blue emitting compounds, DBI-SFX and SBF-SFX, by incorporating fluorene-9,9'-xanthene as main chromophore and introducing 1,2-diphenyl-1H-benzoimidazole and spirobi[fluorene] group. 1,2-Diphenyl-1H-benzoimidazole, 9,9'-spirobi[fluorene], and fluorene-9,9'-xanthene moieties were used to synthesize new blue emitters. The optical properties of synthesized materials were measured. Both materials emit real blue photoluminescence in the film state and SBF-SFX showed relatively high PLQY value. The synthesized materials were applied as EML in non-doped devices, and SBF-SFX had a current efficiency of 1.19cd/A, a power efficiency of 0.39lm/W and an external quantum efficiency of 1.10%, which is more than two times as high as that of DBI-SFX. |
