Summary: | This research presents an experimental plan of the hygrothermal behavior of the polyester/glass fiber composite under the temperature and the dissymmetry effect. The composite material, containing fillers additives Aluminum Silicate Pigments (ASP400), is tested in sea and distilled water. For the dissymmetric absorption (II): in distilled water, the diffusion coefficient (D) is fairly influenced by the temperature than the symmetry, conversely to the quantity of the absorbed humidity. The results in sea water are the inverse to the distilled water results. In the dissymmetric case (I), the symmetry doesn't affect the quantity of the absorbed humidity and it advantages the diffusion coefficient (D). The symmetry effect is lower on the amount of the absorbed humidity and the diffusion coefficient than the temperature. Being in a symmetric case and the increment in the temperature and in the percentage of the filler's additives increase the diffusion coefficient and the quantity of the absorbed humidity. |
