YBCO films were deposited by using dc magnetron sputtering on Hastelloy tape with YSZ buffer layer. Microstructure of the YBCO/YSZ/substrate was studied using transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
AbstractList One possible method for making long YBCO wires or tapes is film deposition on polycrystalline metallic tape with YSZ buffer layer. Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) thin films with C-axis texturing and partial in-plane texture were deposited on polycrystalline metallic tape (Hastelloy-C) by modified dc bias sputtering. YBCO films were deposited by using dc magnetron sputtering on Hastelloy tape with YSZ buffer layer.
