In fact, discussion of decision analysis applied to chest pain dates from 1968. 2 Multidimensional computer processing was first used in 1976 by Patrick et al., 3 who demonstrated that the computer's performance was superior to that of physicians. Computer-assisted diagnosis of chest pain has subsequently been studied by investigators using a variety of approaches, including multivariate gaussian distribution and K–nearest neighbor rule, 3 4 5 stepwise discriminant analysis, . . .
