Summary:We have constructed a cylindrical transition reaction detector for the Dø experiment at FNAL. The design of this detector was finalized after testing a prototype chamber and comparing the test results to a Monte Carlo simulation. The final detector was calibrated at a 5 GeV/ c test beam at CERN; preliminary results are in good agreement with our simulations and with the requirements of the experiment.
