Discrimination between CEC, CE and EC mechanisms by using a sinusoidal current-time function

A theoretical treatment corresponding to a CEC process when a sinusoidal current is applied to static and dynamic electrodes is presented. The general equations obtained allow us to deduce as particular cases those corresponding to CE and EC mechanisms. The conditions under which the response of a C...

Summary:A theoretical treatment corresponding to a CEC process when a sinusoidal current is applied to static and dynamic electrodes is presented. The general equations obtained allow us to deduce as particular cases those corresponding to CE and EC mechanisms. The conditions under which the response of a CEC process may be discriminated from CE and EC mechanisms are discussed. Methods for determining heterogeneous and homogeneous kinetic parameters are also proposed.
