Pd-Catalyzed Heterocyclization During Sonogashira Coupling: Synthesis of 3-Aryl-substituted Imidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles

The reaction of 4,5-diphenyl-2-propargylmercaptoimidazole with various aryl iodides catalyzed by Pd-Cu in the presence of triethylamine as base in dimethyl formamide (DMF) leads to the formation of 3-aryl-substituted imidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles.
