Summary:This paper reports the development of an integrated protective relay setting system (PROSET2000) that has the open system architecture and adopts the object oriented programming paradigm. A series of jobs required for the relay setting is performed in one environment, including the short circuit analysis. It can handle 14 models of line protection panels currently used in KEPCO. It runs on PC and has a client/server structure adopting WINDOWS NT as network operating system.
