Summary: | Given its position and role, the soil – a component of the biosphere and also a product of the interaction between the biotic and abiotic environment sustains the growth of plants. For this reason, macro – and micronutrients must be ensured as they play an essential role in the life of plants as well as in the evolution of soils. A macroelement must be applied in the right quantity, at the right time or else this element may turn into a polluting agent. The paper presents a comparative study regarding the concentration of main macronutrients in the soils of the upper Mureş river basin. These soils receive different degrees of fertilizers with N, P and K and they are in the vicinity of industrial pollution sources. The analyzed samples: PA3, PV10 registered a high/excessive content of N, P, K (PA3-3,18% N; 812mg/kg K and PV10-240mg/kg K). The nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium content of the analyzed samples registered different values, this being strongly influenced by the distance from the industrial pollution sources. |
