Summary:The overall objective of this thesis work is to highlight the general principles of TQM involved and to point out how this approach has been and can be used to improve the quality of an academic institution.This objective is conducted towards an evaluation and assessment of the current quality work. In fact, the way in which this university is working with quality issu es now, will be compared with a TQM approach and the weaknesses and strengthens of the quality work will be recognized.TQM is a vision, which the educational institution can only achieve through long-term planning, by drawing up and implementation annual quality plans, which gradually lead the firm towards the fulfillment of the vision. Application of TQM concepts is one of such measures, which will go a long way in revolutionizing the higher education system. The paper attempts to theoretically conceptualize TQM in higher education
