On a correlation between the properties of low lying collective levels and fission process observables in even nuclei
Effective polynomial potentials for one-dimensional nuclear collective motion leading to fission make it possible to obtain a relation between the spontaneous fission rate, the height of the barrier and the energies of low-lying collective levels. The results are compared with experiment.
