A unique site-selective reaction of ketones with new recyclable hypervalent iodine(III) reagents based on a tetraphenylmethane structure

We have synthesized new recyclable reagents having a tetraphenylmethane backbone and used them in the site-selective alpha-tosyloxylation of ketones.
