Summary: | Authors obtained biaxially oriented NdBa2Cu3O7 (Nd-123) superconducting films with Tc=89 K on {100}001 textured Ag tapes without any buffer layers. The lower substrate temperature seems to be favorable for a better biaxial orientation of the Nd-123 grains; film deposited at 600-670 C had an excellent biaxial crystal orientation, while on the textured Ag tape heated at 690-750 C, Nd-123 phase grew in two orientations, 45 degrees apart. 12 refs. |
