Summary:The first step in achieving a successful meniscal repair is adequate visualization of and access to the meniscus to be repaired. With concomitant pathologies such as anterior cruciate ligament deficiency or a tight varus knee, meniscal regions such as the posterior horn of the medial meniscus can be quite difficult to visualize and access without causing iatrogenic injury to surrounding cartilage. In this chapter, we aim to provide techniques, which can be utilized by the arthroscopic surgeon to enhance meniscus visualization for improved diagnosis and management of meniscal tears.
