Summary:The magnetic properties of flash-evaporated Co2MnGa Heusler alloy (HA) films have been studied with respect to their structural order. Depending on annealing temperature, varied from 293 to 728K, the films are amorphous, fine crystalline with A2 (or B2) type of structure or ordered with L21 structure. Our L21-ordered films are ferromagnetic with the Curie temperature of 650K and with the saturation magnetization of 2.5muB/f.u. (lower than the bulk value of 4muB). The structural 'L21- > B2 (A2)- > amorphous state' disordering causes a considerable reduction of magnetization down to 25G. Ferromagnetic behavior of amorphous Co2MnGa HA films originates from Co-rich clusters (with a local effective magnetization of about 290G) embedded in a nonmagnetic matrix.
