Summary:Through the development of computer image processing technology and UAV technology, after installing high-definition cameras on UAVs and taking high-resolution images, the technology of directly generating DOM images in the surveyed areas using software has been well-developed. However, under the emergency conditions such as dealing with disasters, the long-term processing time required for aerial surveys of UAVs has become a major efficiency constraint to surveying and mapping. This paper focuses on the rapid mapping and mosaicking of survey images from unmanned aerial vehicles under emergency conditions, and elaborates current research status, difficulties and resolvents of the rapid mapping of existing UAVs.
