Summary: | The current state of surface water quality is stable, but it is characterized by a number of problems that collectively call into question the effectiveness of the current water management system in the country. Over a long period of time, the volume of pollutants entering the uncontrolled, mainly diffuse, runoff to water bodies determines the unsatisfactory quality of natural waters and the poor environmental condition of water bodies. This is a consequence of the imperfection of the current water management system. |
