Summary:An atmospheric pressure deaerator with a capacity of 500 tons/h has been designed for use in the heat supply system at the JSC “South-West Power Plant”. It employs superheated (relative to the saturation temperature for the pressure in the deaerator) water with a temperature of 130 – 150°C as a heat transfer medium. Tests and operational data of the new DA-500/100 deaerator show that it operates stably, reliably, and efficiently within the design range of hydraulic and thermal loads, while the quality of the feed water after it meets the standards. The DA-500/100 deaerator with superheated water as the heat transfer medium is recommended for use in large heat supply systems in heating and electric power plants and boiler plants.
