Summary:MR angiography is a noninvasive technique for evaluating blood vessels. Its main use in the renal vasculature has been for evaluating the renal arteries for stenoses and for diagnosing renal vein thrombosis. Different methods of renal MR angiography, including gadolinium-enhanced MR angiography, are described, including guidelines for their use. The utility of MR angiography is discussed for a variety of clinical indications.
