Summary:The objective of the first project was to conduct a comparative study of the various corrosion tests available for magnesium alloys. The corrosion tests selected for the study were immersion tests, titration, hydrogen evolution and weight loss measurements, and electrochemical tests using dynamic direct current polarization. In addition, salt spray test (ASTM B117) results were also considered.
