Summary:Abstract This research developed new materials from cigarette fibre filter and OPEFB fibre. This study to develop polymer composite compositions with varying strengths and to perform flexural tests and specimens that best represent the properties used in waste basket products. The method used is to use variation compotiton to determine the best mechanical response generated by testing the specimen. The material used is made from composite, cigarette fibre filter and addition of OPEFB fibers is used as a filler and polyurethane as the matrix. The results are informating that of the best material properties chosen to be developed in to product of a trash can. The conclusion of this study is that the increase in the percentage of reinforcement is directly proportional to the resulting stress and strain values. In addition, it is recommended to use specimen C as a polymer composite material with optimal mechanical properties for product development as waste.
