Summary: | Components and sections of gantry cranes made of thick plate semi-finished products and components of St-52-3 steel by different welding methods are certified together with technological testpieces. The volume of tests is set by the European standard and inspected by the German division of Lloyd. The results of the tests and investigations showed the possibility of using MIT-1 and MIT-2 microprocessor hardness meters for predicting the strength characteristics of the parent metal and welded joints with a large decrease of the labour content of measurements and tests, while retaining the quality and reliability of components.
