Summary:The case of a patient with a venous angioma of the cerebellum and fourth ventricle is presented. The lesion was demonstrated by computed tomography and venous angiography. The patient underwent surgery and died postoperatively. Postmortem examination revealed a lack of the usual venous drainage from the cerebellum. The diagnostic methods and the anatomic findings are duscussed. Restraint is urged in considering surgical intervention in such cases.
