Enhancement of association constants of various charge-transfer complexes in siloxane solvents

The association constants of various charge-transfer complexes were evaluated in n -hexane, octamethyltrisiloxane and PDMS to investigate the solvent effect. Higher association constants were observed in siloxanes. The association constant in PDMS increased (1.8-5.7 times) with increasing aromatic c...

Summary:The association constants of various charge-transfer complexes were evaluated in n -hexane, octamethyltrisiloxane and PDMS to investigate the solvent effect. Higher association constants were observed in siloxanes. The association constant in PDMS increased (1.8-5.7 times) with increasing aromatic core size, implying the significant influence of aromatic cores on the solvent effect. The association constants of various charge-transfer complexes were evaluated in n -hexane, octamethyltrisiloxane and PDMS to investigate the solvent effect.
