Summary: | This study describes a method of synthesising pyridine, quinoline, and isoquinoline ketones using 2‐halogenated N‐heterocycles as the starting materials under mild reaction conditions. Considering the significance of pyridones in organic chemistry, developing novel, green synthetic strategies is highly desirable. The reaction employs H2O as the solvent and source of O, rendering it green, and it is simple to execute, with a broad substrate scope and an excellent functional group tolerance.
This study presents a method for synthesizing pyridine, quinoline, and isoquinoline ketones from 2‐halogenated N‐heterocycles under mild conditions. The use of H2O as both solvent and oxygen source makes the reaction environmentally friendly, with broad substrate applicability and high functional group tolerance. |
