Summary: | Effect of plating agents on nickel and chromium (III) removal from nickel sulfate solutions and chromium (III) sulfate solutions respectively by coagulation with sodium hydroxide was studied. EDTA disodium salt, sodium citrate, potassium sodium tartrate and sodium gluconate exert large influence on the removal. In the presense of 10-200mg/L these agents, it is difficult to remove nickel and chromium (III) from the solutions (200mg/L as nickel or chromium (III)). From the results of this paper and others a table was made showing the effect of the plating agentson the removal of nickel, chromium (III) copper and zink by coagulation with sodium hydroxide. |
