Summary:The study is premised on concern for the Nigerian conflict on crude oil exploration. It is designed to know the level of the causes of pipeline vandalization and its environmental impacts in the Niger Delta region. The data used for the study were obtained from 100 oil company's officials and an equal number of subjects of the host communities in the Niger Delta region. In order to make sure that the analysis of the information collected is valid, simple percentages were used in the data analysis. Each hypothesis was tabulated and analyzed. The result showed that there is a high degree of pipeline vandalization in the Niger Delta region. Pipeline vandalization is rooted in long history of neglect, marginalization and repression of the people of the Niger Delta.
