Realization of all-optical JK flipflop in mid-IR wavelengths using triple-core photonic quasi-crystal fiber

We report the GeAsSe three-core photonic quasi-crystal fiber (TPQF) to realize the functioning of JK flipflop in mid-infrared (MIR) region. The proposed TPQF exhibits the JK flipflop characteristics in the the core2 and core 3 for Δ θ from 1.3 π to 1.88 π at the coupling length of 6.3 mm. Besides, t...

Summary:We report the GeAsSe three-core photonic quasi-crystal fiber (TPQF) to realize the functioning of JK flipflop in mid-infrared (MIR) region. The proposed TPQF exhibits the JK flipflop characteristics in the the core2 and core 3 for Δ θ from 1.3 π to 1.88 π at the coupling length of 6.3 mm. Besides, the figure of merit (FoM) is achieved about high value of 23.03 dB for JK flipflop at Δ θ = 1.52 π . Thus, the proposed TPQF flipflop act as a good candidate for fiber scale applications from sensing to free space optics.
