Summary: | The possibility of forming helical electron beams (HEBs) for multi-mirror and multi-barrel gyrotrons using systems with non-adiabatic injection of an electron beam into a magnetic field is analyzed. Systems where emission comes from circular arcs or from individual emission circles are considered. The possibility of implementing a HEB with a large (1.5–1.8) pitch factor, an acceptable velocity spread and a reduced influence of particles reflected from the magnetic mirror on the quality of the beam has been studied. |
