Summary:A series of 1-aryl-3-(3,5-dioxo-4-azatetracyclo[5.3.2.0 2,6 .0 8,10 ]dodec-11-en-4-yl)urea derivatives were synthesized and studied for antiviral activity against smallpox vaccine virus. 3-(3,5-Dioxo-4-azatetracyclo-[5.3.2.0 2,6 .0 8,10 ]dodec-11-en-4-yl)-1-(4-methylphenyl)urea, 3-(3,5-dioxo-4-azatetracyclo[5.3.2.0 2,6 .0 8,10 ]dodec-11-en-4-yl)-1-(3-fluorophenyl)urea hydrate, and 3-(3,5-dioxo-4-azatetracyclo[5.3.2.0 2,6 .0 8,10 ]dodec-11-en-4-yl)-1-(phenyl)thiourea showed pronounced activity.
