Summary: | We developed an involute-cycloid composite tooth profile gear to obtain higher performance than an involute one. The driving performance in the involute-cycloid composite tooth profile gear is influenced by a variation in center distance because of the tooth profile based on cycloid tooth profile. In this study, we calculated the transmission error and the tooth root stress for the various center distances. Further, we examined the driving performance for the involute-cycloid composite tooth profile gear by measuring the tooth root stress and the transmission error. |
