Summary:This article presents a novel design of ultrawideband TEM horn with dielectric filling of the space between its leaves. The distribution of dielectric permittivity in the medium is obtained according to the laws of geometric optics. The electromagnetic simulation and experimental measurements are performed; voltage standing wave ratio and radiation patterns at a set of frequencies up to 20 GHz are obtained. The described method allowed to prevent antenna pattern distortion at frequencies from 7.5 to 20 GHz.
