4-hydroxy-2-quinolones. 201. Synthesis, structure, and diuretic activity of hydroxy- and alkoxy- anilides of 6-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-oxo-2,4-dihydro- 1H-pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-5-carboxylic acid

Hydroxy- and alkoxyanilides of 6-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-oxo-2,4-dihydro-1 H -pyrrolo[3,2,1- ij ]quinoline-5-carboxylic acids have been synthesized as potential diuretic agents. Features of their purification, their steric structure, and biological activity are discussed.
