Summary:The current trends in the development of technologies for the sterilization of natural nanostructured biocomposite (bone tissue) are considered. The effectiveness of combined sterilization technologies with the combined use of radiation and ozone effects for processing such a complex nanostructured natural biocomposite as bone tissue is noted. Attention is focused on the need to further improve technologies for the sterilization of bone implants, the search for alternative sterilization methods that are compatible with radiation when used in combination in multi-stage combined technologies, and solving priority problems related to the development of an effective method for determining the dose actually absorbed by the implant during the sterilization process. A real prospect of using combined radiation technologies for the preservation and sterilization of biological tissues when solving problems of forensic medical examination, as well as when conducting studies of fossil fragments after many years of uncontrolled storage, is noted.
