Summary:The reaction kinetics of N , N -diethyl hydroxylamine (DEHA) and free oxygen in distilled water was studied. The kinetic model of chemical reaction was created based on experimental work by measuring different pH values, reaction temperature, DEHA dosage and the removal rate of free oxygen in water. The experimental results demonstrated that deoxidizer DEHA reduced free oxygen level effectively in distilled water. The deoxygenation reaction follows pseudo-first-order kinetics under the experimental conditions, with the activation energy of E a = 38.29908 kJ mol –1 . It was indicated that the theoretical predictions with the simulation models are consistent with the experimental results at a high precision level.
