Summary:The paper considers the possibilities of computerization of early diagnosis of complex vision pathologies by an example of retinal diseases. Source data for the intelligent analysis are given by electroretinography (ERG) data, which are processed by complex system analysis methods (Fourier series expansion, spectral analysis, and analysis of the amplitude and phase frequency responses of the retina in different test conditions), artificial intelligence methods (fuzzy logic and production rules formed on the basis of expert knowledge of physiologists), and methods of cognitive graphics for the graphical representation of the retina state. The work is carried out by specialists at the National Research University MPEI and the Helmholtz National Medical Research Center of Eye Diseases through the development of intelligent decision support systems (IDSSs) for early diagnosis of pathologies.
