Summary:A complete synopsis of the localities of 14 Vaucheria taxa (13 species and 1 variety) for the Baikal region in Irkutsk oblast and the Republic of Buryatia is given. The total number of studied populations is 413. Only four widespread species, V. bursata , V. racemosa , V. canalicularis , and V. frigida var. frigida , prevail among Vaucheria collections, accounting for 79% of all populations. These data could be considered representative of the continental regions of Asian Russia.
