Summary:3-Alkyl-5-(diethylaminomethyl)pyrazoles reacted with chloroacetyl chloride to give 1-chloroacetyl derivatives which were subjected to heterocyclization with thiobenzamide, thiourea, and N -phenylthiourea in the presence of triethylamine in ethanol.
