Summary: | An analysis of high-duty parts made of VT1-0 titanium shows that a large number of them are streamlined hollow axisymmetric parts, which require thin axisymmetric workpieces with isotropic properties for their production. A finite element simulation of the forming of such workpieces needs the strain and temperature dependences of the flow stress. These dependences are derived to describe the forming of workpieces with isotropic properties. |
