Summary:CAD/CAM systems are widely utilized in many manufacturing industries for rationalization of die design and data processing for NC machining. To produce design, die design and die making of die forgings which consist of many curved surfaces, we have put CAD/CAM to practical us. The special features of our system are as follows. (1) It is mainly used for die forgings which consist of many curved surfaces. (2) It has many application programs including our own design know-how. (3) NC data for die making are transformed from CAD data by using CAM programs. (4) Die makings are done without models. (5) Users (Designers) can easily develope application programs using programming language particularly arranged. In this report the outline of our CAD/CAM system is descrived.
