Summary:The effect of the aging heat treatment (T6) was studied with four variants of to the residence time of heat treatment according to the Al-5.3%at. Zn - 8.5%at. Mg alloy without T6, for the purpose of evaluating electrochemically the possible homogeneous segregation of alloying elements to the matrix of the alloy. Electrochemical tests were performed to elucidate the effect of T6 on the electrochemical behavior of each sample. After a series of experiments, it was determined that T6 and influences on the interdendritic zones, behaving in a different way and in the case of the residence time of 5 hours, the highest corrosion rate was achieved.
