Summary: | The present study explored the relationships between "ego," "conceptual systems," and "moral" developmental theories. The age-developmental trends on all three measures were consistent with the stage formulations of all three theorists. Low to moderate correlations were reported between all of the measures, after age was partialled out of the correlation coefficients, suggesting that further, more precise investigation into common aspects of the personality dimensions involved and transition rules in stage development would be worthwhile. |
