Summary:Two electroactive compounds, bearing 2,3-dimethylindole donor moiety and tetrafluorostyrene acceptor moiety, were designed and synthesized by employing one-step nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction. Radical polymerization was used to obain electroactive linear polymer. Their photophysical properties, based on theoretical calculations and experimental measurements, as well as electrochemical and photoelectrical properties are discussed.
