Summary:Analysis of Little Owl (Athene noctua) pellets collected from Safawi area, Jordan, has revealed the presence of at least six species of reptiles belonging to three families (Gekkonidae, Lacertidae and Agamidae), four mammalian species representing three families (Cricetidae, Muridae and Dipodidae), two unidentified bird species, one scorpion, one solifugid, five beetles belonging to two families (Tenebrionidae and Buprestidae), and one species of the order Orthoptera. These findings suggest that A. noctua is a diurnal hunter in the Safawi area.
