Summary:Computed tomography-guided biopsy of the spine is considered a safe and relatively inexpensive examination tecnique. We performed CT-guided biopsy for 8 cases without any complications. These cases were 6 thoracic, 1 lumber and 1 sacral. Pathologic examinations revealed 3 primary tumors, 2 metastases, 2 tuberculosis and 1 pyogenic spondylitis. CT-guided biopsy is an important tool in the evaluation of spinal lesions.
