Summary: | Bob Siemann was an ardent defender of the scientific method, demanding excellence from his students, peers, and himself. Given his uncommon interest in the education of the next generation of physicists, it is appropriate to remember his life through the eyes of one of his students, one who was proud to also call him a friend. There is no attempt in this retrospective to describe his technical contributions. Instead, the goal is to describe a teacher, colleague, and friend who will be missed. |
